We are family owned and believe in taking time together outdoors. The original concept for the flower farm is more than coming to cut flowers but a place to gather as a community. Check out the potting shed for making your own living arrangements, sit at the patio under an old grape vine in the summer or come learn a new skill at one of our classes. The farm has a large greenhouse for nursery items, a lawn area for events, lavender and flower fields to roam and a chicken coop where our mascots lay eggs.
We are constantly looking for classes to bring to the Eagle area. This year we would like to continue to bring flower related classes (flower crowns, wreaths, arrangements...) as well as macrame, herbal education, zero waste and more!We are constantly looking for classes to bring to the Eagle area. Come select your own flowers to brighten your home, cut fresh herbs for cooking or making your own tea or gather lavender for whatever relaxing experience you have in mind. In spring we partner with a local family-owned nursery to bring flowerpots, standing and hanging, to add some color to your porch for the season!
Tamara Jahelka is the visionary behind Bohemian Bloom and Herb Farm. She wanted to create a space to pull the community together, a little pocket of life within the city of Eagle to hold events and allow people to reconnect with nature in their backyard, even if they don't have one. Bohemian is the basis as Tamara is a proud descendant of Czech/German parents who loved their bohemian roots.
When you visit the farm, you can tell that this isn't modeled after a modern flower farm with neat lines in every way but more modeled after a old world backyard. Tamara loves to get into the weeds, literally, with help of her husband, her daughters and her grandchildren to build out different areas of the farm by hand. Everything on the farm was designed and executed by family with some help from the experts when needed!
Tamara is happy to welcome all who visit with open arms and a big smile. She will happily give you a tour or open the gates for a personal event. In her second year of having the farm open to the public, Tamara is most excited to have events similar to last year's Bohemian Lavendar Festival and the Bohemian Harvest Festival. Check out our Galleries to see the festivities!
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours. During the season, visit our Social Media pages for real time information on open hours and events!
